A normal pillow often does not provide the necessary support for a relaxed cervical spine. The ergonomic neck pillows from EULIN®, developed in Swiss collaboration with experts, adapt precisely to your anatomy and support your natural sleeping position.

The side lying position is one of the most popular sleeping positions, but it places special demands on ergonomics. In this position, a natural cavity is created between the shoulder and the cervical spine or neck. If this space remains insufficiently filled, the cervical spine bends to the side. A structured side sleeper pillow fills exactly this gap so that the head lies on the same level as the thoracic spine.
That's why we rely on pillow models that can be adjusted instead of a fixed height. Our IGR-certified (Institute for Health and Ergonomics) neck pillow is particularly well thought out EULIN® CLOUD FLOWER MF1. Thanks to its patented butterfly shape with integrated armrests, the shoulders find a pressure-free position. Since some of our pillows offer side sleepers a modular 3-layer structure or an adjustable filling amount, depending on the model, the feeling of lying can be tailored exactly to the width of your personal shoulders.
Every body is built differently. A rigid pillow height is therefore rarely suitable for different statures and sleeping habits. That's why we specifically address these individual requirements with our height-adjustable pillow models. With our neck pillows, we offer side sleepers a flexibly adjustable system with which the pillow height can be optimally adjusted to shoulder width and personal lying comfort.
This is particularly important because the following applies to pillows for side sleepers: the wider the shoulders, the higher the support needs to be. A good neck pillow for side sleepers should also retain its shape throughout the night. Classic fiber or feather pillows lose volume over the course of the night and flatten under the weight of your head. A side sleeper pillow made of memory foam, on the other hand, retains its contour until the morning because the foam returns to its original shape after every movement. These pillows offer side sleepers a consistent support surface.
Instead of relying on rigid dimensions, some EULIN® models use removable foam panels or adjustable fillings. These let you vary the height gradually to precisely fill the gap between the head and the mattress. How many centimeters you have available depends on the model you choose. With our neck pillows, we offer side sleepers and alternating sleepers an anatomically stable base in which the head is positioned centrally and breathing remains free at the same time due to the slightly raised position.
The term neck support pillow is not protected and is used on the market for a wide variety of pillows. It was therefore important to us that the ergonomics of our pillows were not only promised, but also independently assessed.
Ultimately, what is important is not the name, but how well a pillow supports the head and cervical spine. If you are looking for a pillow for neck pain, it is best to pay attention to even pressure distribution and a height that matches your shoulder width. Because neck pain in the morning often doesn't arise overnight from a wrong movement, but from hours in an unfavorable position. The fact that our EULIN® WOLKENBLUME MF1 neck pillow is orthopedically sound is shown by its certifications such as those from the IGR (Institute for Health and Ergonomics). Its test guidelines are based on the strict ergonomic standards DIN 33419 and EN ISO 15537 and clearly prove that the EULIN® CLOUD BLUME MF1 adapts ideally to the individual anatomy thanks to its modular design.
There is also the material side, and this is where it is worth taking a second look when comparing. With the EULIN® CLOUD FLOWER MF1, the entire pillow including memory foam is certified according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 Class 1. This is the level that applies to textiles for babies and toddlers. Many manufacturers only have the external cover tested and still advertise with the seal. Additionally, our memory foam is CertiPUR-US® certified. This means that the foam has been independently tested for pollutants, emissions and durability - for long-lasting quality and a good feeling every night.
EULIN® was not created in a marketing department, but in a medical environment. Our founder observed patients lying on memory foam support systems in the operating room for over twelve hours without developing pressure sores. This observation gave rise to the question of why this technology shouldn't also work in the bedroom.
Since then, our pillows have been developed in St. Gallen, together with doctors and physiotherapists. With the neck pillow EULIN® EELFELD SWISS ZIP let's go one step further. This pillow is made in a Swiss factory and is certified according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. Instead of using foam panels, you regulate the filling made of patented Rhombo-Fill® PUR air cell rods and PES hollow fiber balls via a continuous zipper, to the gram using the included refill bag. In this way, you get an original Swiss neck pillow in the classic format of 50 × 70 cm or 65 × 100 cm, which has an integrated neck support roll and is washable at 60 °C and can be tumble dried.
Classic rectangular pillows often force the shoulder area into an angled or twisted position. A butterfly pillow, on the other hand, uses cutouts on the sides. Because of this anatomical contouring, the butterfly pillow is also the most striking shape in our range.
This is how it works, among other things: also with ours EULIN® CLOUD FLOWER MF1 in gray The sides are divided into two wings, which serve specifically as armrests. If you like to push your lower arm forward when lying on your side or place your upper arm on the pillow, you will gain space without your shoulder rolling forward. The hollow in the middle keeps the head still, the higher edge of the neck supports the transition to the cervical spine. The ergonomic neck pillow measures 35 × 62 cm and is available in white and gray.
A memory foam pillow impresses with its excellent body adaptation because it reacts precisely to body heat and pressure. Because memory foam, technically called viscoelastic foam, gives way even where weight is applied and then slowly returns to its original shape.
We also use memory foam in two forms as a dimensionally stable filling for our pillows. The EULIN® WOLKENBLUME MF1 uses a performance memory foam with noticeable support EULIN® WOLKENFELD AIR a slow rebound memory foam that is softer and more supple. Both are vegan, hypoallergenic and CertiPUR-US® certified. Which memory foam pillow suits you better depends on whether you prefer a firm or soft feeling when lying down.
The prone position is considered by ergonomics experts to be the most demanding sleeping position because the head has to be turned to the side for hours. In this position, a normal, high pillow quickly leads to a hollow back and hyperextension of the neck. Well-thought-out pillows for stomach sleepers must therefore be able to be set extremely flat, because every additional centimeter increases the hyperextension in the neck.
Thanks to their flexible height adjustment, our pillows are also suitable as pillows for stomach sleepers, as the lying height can be individually adjusted.
With the EULIN® WOLKENFELD AIR you can remove the middle foam plate in just a few steps and as needed, giving you a particularly flat lying surface. In this way, these pillows help stomach sleepers keep their head as close to the level of the mattress as possible. The EDELFELD SWISS ZIP in the classic format works according to the same principle, only via the filling quantity. With this you remove as much material until the pillow lies flat enough. Our pillows offer stomach sleepers soft but dimensionally stable padding to allow the neck area to be particularly flat when lying on your stomach.
Every sleeping position has different demands on posture and pillow height. With well thought-out ergonomics and flexible adjustability, our pillows offer the right solution for every sleeping need. The supine position also requires fine coordination. In this position, the head needs significantly less height than in the side position, but the neck needs targeted support. When it comes to a pillow for back sleepers, the focus is on gently filling the neck lordosis. The head should neither tilt back nor be pushed toward the chin. A memory foam pillow with integrated neck waves keeps the head in a neutral axis. Your airways remain clear while your head and cervical spine remain stable.
Many people are looking for an anti-snoring pillow, especially when lying on their back. A pillow cannot stop snoring, but it can influence your lying position. A stable side position is often considered a more favorable sleeping position as it can help keep the airways open and it is precisely this position that the EULIN® WOLKENBLUME MF1 supports with its distinctive wing shape and the increased support of its performance memory foam. Several customers tell us that this has reduced their snoring. CPAP users also appreciate this shape because the side arm rests leave space for the mask and tube and the dimensionally stable foam distributes the pressure on the edges of the mask. You can find further details and valuable tips in our blog post “Sleep apnea, CPAP masks and the right pillow”.
And because many people switch between lying on their back and side at night anyway, our models are real all-rounders for flexible sleeping needs because they cover both positions instead of restricting you to one. EULIN® – developed for your health, made for your dream!
The quality of sleep improves when the spine can rest in its natural position and the muscles do not have to constantly tense. A really good memory foam pillow or adjustable neck support pillow, like the one we develop at EULIN®, is characterized by the fact that it is height-adjustable and can be adjusted to your shoulder width and preferred sleeping position.
Pillows with an ergonomic shape, such as a butterfly or wave shape, and with a pressure-relieving core material are recommended. The pillow should provide support for the neck without pinching the shoulder. Certifications from independent institutes and external evidence help you to classify things transparently and objectively. The EULIN® CLOUD FLOWER MF1 is IGR certified and tested as an entire product according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 Class 1, including memory foam.
Side sleepers need the highest height because shoulder width needs to be balanced. When lying on your back, less height is sufficient, but a neck wave is helpful. When lying on your stomach, the pillow should be as flat as possible. EULIN® models cover this range thanks to their modular design: The EULIN® WOLKENBLUME MF1 and EULIN® WOLKENFELD AIR for side and back positions, the EULIN® WOLKENFELD AIR in the flattest setting and the EULIN® EDELFELD SWISS ZIP also for the prone position.
